Vancouver Summer Family Activities

If you're visiting Vancouver or living in Vancouver then why not take your family out for a great day of fun at the zoo? Kids and adults will enjoy Vancouver's zoo. There's lots of attractions and you should plan to spend about four to five hours there. The Greater Vancouver Zoo is about 45 minutes drive from Vancouver and is located in Aldergrove.

The Greater Vancouver Zoo has some very nice exhibits with more of a focus on North American wildlife. Animals which you can see at the zoo include:

Addax
Aoudad
Bear ~ Black

Bison
Black Burro
Blackbuck
Boa Constrictor
Caiman ~ Spectacled
Camel ~ Bactrian

There's a huge list of animals to see at the zoo. For an additional price you can buy a pass to the train ride which will conveniently take you around the whole zoo. The train ride lasts about 10 or 15 minutes. I suggest renting a 4 seater bicycle and riding around the whole zoo first for one hour and then returning your rental. Afterwards take some time to walk around the whole zoo and enjoy the shows such as lion feeding and birds of prey show.

This year is the Zoo's 40th Anniversary! The zoo is having a raffle to celebrate, some lucky winner could win a Toyota Camry Hybrid.
