On Tuesday Apple released news of new products such as MacBook Air, its thinnest notebook computer. Apple Chief Executive Steve Jobs unveiled the new notebook at the Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco today. He said that the MacBook Air would be priced at $1799 and be available in stores in two weeks time.
The new notebook is powered by an Intel dual core processor. The best feature of this notebook is it's sleekness - it's only three-quarters of an inch thick. MacBook Air comes with the standard array of components demanded by users including 13-inch screen, full size keyboard, built-in camera, and is Wi-Fi and Blue Tooth enabled.
Steve Jobs also unveiled a new version of the Apple TV device. This device is now able to connect to a television set and allow for the downloading of online movies. Users can now comfortably download movies from the Apple movie website and watch them on their tvs. The iTunes movie rental service will feature top movies from major movie studios. The Chief Executive indicated that he hopes to have over 1,000 top movies available for download on the iTunes site within a month. The movies will be available for rental at a price of $2.99. These movies will be from major studios such as 20th Century Fox, Walt Disney, Sony, Paramount, Universal Studios, Lionsgate and others. Apple is hoping to dominate the online movie download industry as it successfully dominated the music industry through it's ipod hardware and iTunes songs download website.
